Abstract: Combat sports have gained immense popularity worldwide, with millions of individuals participating in activities such as boxing, mixed martial arts (MMA), judo, and wrestling. While these sports are celebrated for their physical prowess and strategic elements, there has been growing interest in understanding the potential impact of combat sports on mental health. This research article explores the complex interplay of psychological factors in combat sports, shedding light on how participation can influence mental health outcomes. PubMed, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar were used to conduct extensive searches. Keywords such as "combat sports," "mental health," "psychological factors," and "resilience" were utilized to discover publications published between 2020 and 2023 that served as the foundation of our evaluation. There were 150 manuscripts found, and 15 were chosen for this research. We delve into the cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions of combat sports, discussing their potential benefits and risks. By synthesizing existing literature and presenting new insights, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the relationship between combat sports and mental health.
