Relationship of selected anthropometric variable to the performance in race walking

Relationship of selected anthropometric variable to the performance in race walking

Author(s): Dr. Ranjan Chakravarty

Abstract: This study aimed to explore the connection between specific anthropometric variables and performance in race walking. The sample consisted of five junior national level male race walkers, aged 18-24 years. Although the research found no significant relationships between the selected anthropometric variables and race walking performance, the small sample size may have contributed to these results. Additionally, while stride length depends on greater leg length, arm length and leg length did not exhibit a significant relationship, potentially due to other factors.
